Chapter 5: Vasiṣṭha Prepares Rāma for the Coronation
Text 2.5.25
गुरुणा त्वभ्यनुज्ञातो मनुजौघं विसृज्य तम्।
विवेशान्तःपुरं राजा सिंहो गिरिगुहामिव॥
guruṇā tv abhyanujñāto manujaughaṁ visṛjya tam
viveśāntaḥ-puraṁ rājā siṁho giri-guhām iva
guruṇā tu = by his spiritual master; abhyanujñātaḥ = being permitted; manuja-ogham = crowd of men; visṛjya = left and; tam = the; viveśa = entered; antaḥ-puram = his inner quarters; rājā = the king; siṁhaḥ = a lion; giri-guhām = [enters] the cave of a mountain; iva = like.
Being permitted by his spiritual master, the king left the crowd of men and entered his inner quarters like a lion [enters] the cave of a mountain.
