Chapter 6: The Residents of Kosala Prepare to Celebrate Rāma’s Coronation
Text 2.6.22

सर्वे ह्यनुगृहीताः स्म यन्नो रामो महीपतिः।
चिराय भविता गोप्ता दृष्टलोकपरावरः॥

sarve hy anugṛhītāḥ sma yan no rāmo mahī-patiḥ
cirāya bhavitā goptā dṛṣṭa-loka-parāvaraḥ

sarve hi = all; anugṛhītāḥ = blessed by the Lord; sma = of us have been; yat = because; naḥ = us; rāmaḥ = Rāma; mahī-patiḥ = the king; cirāya = for a long time to come; bhavitā = will become; goptā = and protect; dṛṣṭa-loka-parāvaraḥ = and He perceives both spiritual and material existences.

All of us have been blessed by the Lord because Rāma will become the king and protect us for a long time to come, and He perceives both spiritual and material existences.

GLOSS. Dṛṣṭa-loka-parāvaraḥ indicates that Lord Rāmacandra is aware of everyone. It also indicates that He is aware that Lord Brahmā and others, famous for being the best [of the living beings in the universe], are inferior to Him. He also perceives both superior and inferior living beings.

NOTE. We should remember that Lord Rāma is none but the omniscient living being, categorically distinct from finite living beings. Prabhupāda constrasts Him from them thus:

A living entity is, by superior nature, full of knowledge. Nevertheless, he is prone to be influenced by ignorance due to his limited power. The Lord is omnipotent, but the living entity is not. The Lord is vibhu, or omniscient, but the living entity is aṇu, or atomic. (Bhagavad-gītā 5.15 purport)
