Chapter 6: The Residents of Kosala Prepare to Celebrate Rāma’s Coronation

चिरं जीवतु धर्मात्मा राजा दशरथोऽनघः।
यत्प्रसादेनाभिषिक्तं रामं द्रक्ष्यामहे वयम्॥
ciraṁ jīvatu dharmātmā rājā daśaratho ’naghaḥ
yat-prasādenābhiṣiktaṁ rāmaṁ drakṣyāmahe vayam
ciram = long; jīvatu = may live; dharma-ātmā = and dhārmika soul; rājā = King; daśarathaḥ = Daśaratha; anaghaḥ = the sinless; yat-prasādena = by whose benediction; abhiṣiktam = coronated; rāmam = Rāma; drakṣyāmahe = will see; vayam = we.
May the sinless and dhārmika soul King Daśaratha, by whose benediction we will see Rāma coronated, live long.
