Chapter 10: Daśaratha Meets Kaikeyī
Text 2.10.3
निश्चित्य मनसा कृत्यं सा सम्यगिति भामिनी।
मन्थरायै शनैः सर्वमाचचक्षे विचक्षणा॥
niścitya manasā kṛtyaṁ sā samyag iti bhāminī
mantharāyai śanaiḥ sarvam ācacakṣe vicakṣaṇā
niścitya = ascertained and; manasā = in her mind; kṛtyam = what she ought to do; sā = the; samyak iti = is right; bhāminī = angry; mantharāyai = Mantharā; śanaiḥ = gradually; sarvam = everything [you have said]; ācacakṣe = told; vicakṣaṇā = and intelligent lady.
The angry and intelligent lady gradually ascertained in her mind what she ought to do and told Mantharā, “Everything [you have said] is right.”
What Kaikeyī wanted to do has already been described [in the previous chapter].
