Chapter 11: Kaikeyī Demands two Boons
Text 2.11.23-24

ततः परमुवाचेदं वरदं काममोहितम्।
वरौ यौ मे त्वया देव तदा दत्तौ महीपते॥

तौ तावदहमद्यैव वक्ष्यामि शृणु मे वचः॥

tataḥ param uvācedaṁ varadaṁ kāma-mohitam
varau yau me tvayā deva tadā dattau mahī-pate

tau tāvad aham adyaiva vakṣyāmi śṛṇu me vacaḥ

tataḥ param = then; uvāca = she spoke; idam = the following; varadam = to him who had granted her those boons; kāma-mohitam = and who was bewildered by lust; varau = two boons; yau = that; me = me; tvayā = you; deva = O king; tadā = at that time; dattau = had granted; mahī-pate = O ruler of earth; tau = the; tāvat aham = I; adya eva = now; vakṣyāmi = will describe [how you can fulfill]; śṛṇu = listen; me = my; vacaḥ = to words.

Then, she spoke the following to him who had granted her those boons and who was bewildered by lust: “O king, O ruler of earth, I will now describe [how you can fulfill] the two boons that you had granted me at that time. Listen to my words.
