Chapter 12: Kaikeyī Reaffirms her Demands

किं मां वक्ष्यति कौसल्या राघवे वनमास्थिते।
किं चैनां प्रतिवक्ष्यामि कृत्वा विप्रियमीदृशम्॥
kiṁ māṁ vakṣyati kausalyā rāghave vanam āsthite
kiṁ caināṁ prativakṣyāmi kṛtvā vipriyam īdṛśam
kim = what; mām = me; vakṣyati = will tell; kausalyā = Kausalyā; rāghave = when Rāghava; vanam = to the forest; āsthite = has set out; kim ca = how; enām = to her; prativakṣyāmi = can I reply; kṛtvā = after performing; vipriyam = displeasing act; īdṛśam = such a.
What will Kausalyā tell me when Rāghava has set out to the forest? How can I reply to her after performing such a displeasing act?
Kausalyā would ask Daśaratha, “How did my son offend you?” And Daśaratha would not be able to reply to her at all.
