Chapter 13: Kaikeyī Rejects Daśaratha’s Sorrowful Plea
Text 2.13.15
तथा विलपतस्तस्य परिभ्रमितचेतसः।
अस्तमभ्यागमत्सूर्यो रजनी चाभ्यवर्तत॥
tathā vilapatas tasya paribhramita-cetasaḥ
astam abhyāgamat sūryo rajanī cābhyavartata
tathā = thus; vilapataḥ = lamented; tasya = while Daśaratha; paribhramita-cetasaḥ = his mind bewildered; astam abhyāgamat = set; sūryaḥ = the sun; rajanī = the night; ca = and; abhyavartata = began.
While Daśaratha, his mind bewildered, lamented thus, the sun set and the night began.
