Chapter 14: Daśaratha Grants Kaikeyī her two Boons
Text 2.14.43
इति तस्य वचः श्रुत्वा सूतपुत्रो महात्मनः।
स्तुवन्नृपतिशार्दूलं प्रविवेश निवेशनम्॥
iti tasya vacaḥ śrutvā sūta-putro mahātmanaḥ
stuvan nṛpati-śārdūlaṁ praviveśa niveśanam
iti tasya = these; vacaḥ = words; śrutvā = upon hearing; sūta-putraḥ = the sūta’s son Sumantra; mahā-ātmanaḥ = of the great soul Vasiṣṭha; stuvan = while praising; nṛpati-śārdūlam = him; praviveśa = entered; niveśanam = the emperor’s residence.
Upon hearing these words of the great soul Vasiṣṭha, the sūta’s son Sumantra entered the emperor’s residence while praising him.
