Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 15: Daśaratha Personally Instructs Sumantra to Bring Rāma
Text 2.15.25

ब्राह्मणा बलमुख्याश्च नैगमाश्चागता नृप।
दर्शनं प्रतिकाङ्गन्ते प्रतिबुध्यस्व राघव॥

brāhmaṇā bala-mukhyāś ca naigamāś cāgatā nṛpa
darśanaṁ pratikāṅkṣante pratibudhyasva rāghava

brāhmaṇāḥ = the brāhmaṇas; bala-mukhyāḥ ca = chiefs of the armed forces; naigamāḥ = traders; ca = and; āgatāḥ = have arrived; nṛpa = O king; darśanam = to meet you; pratikāṅkṣante = they are waiting; pratibudhyasva = please wake up; rāghava = O descendant of Raghu.

The brāhmaṇas, chiefs of the armed forces and traders have arrived, O king. They are waiting to meet you. O descendant of Raghu, please wake up!

Sumantra is praising Daśaratha once again because it is the duty of the sūtas to first offer praise to the king before informing him of anything.
