उपस्थितैः समाकीर्णं जनैरञ्जलिकारिभिः।
उपादाय समाक्रान्तैस्तथा जानपदैर्जनैः॥
रामाभिषेकसुमुखैरुन्मुखैः समलङ्कृतम्।
महामेघसमप्रख्यमुदग्रं सुविभूषितम्॥
नानारत्नसमाकीर्णं कुब्जकैरातकावृतम्॥
upasthitair samākīrṇaṁ janair añjalikāribhiḥ
upādāya samākrāntais tathā jānapadair janaiḥ
rāmābhiṣeka-sumukhair unmukhaiḥ samalaṅkṛtam
mahā-megha-sama-prakhyam udagraṁ suvibhūṣitam
nānā-ratna-samākīrṇaṁ kubja-kairātakāvṛtam
upasthitaiḥ = who had arrived there; samākīrṇam = [He also saw that Rāma’s residence] was filled; janaiḥ = with people; añjalikāribhiḥ = and who had joined their palms in supplication; upādāya = who had brought gifts [for Rāmacandra]; samākrāntaiḥ = who had crowded the place [even more]; tathā = and; jānapadaiḥ = from the countryside; janaiḥ = by people; rāma-abhiṣeka-sumukhaiḥ = their faces expressing their happiness about Rāma’s coronation; unmukhaiḥ = eager; samalaṅkṛtam = it was adorned; mahā-megha-sama-prakhyam = it was like a great cloud; udagram = tall; suvibhūṣitam = and very well decorated; nānā-ratna-samākīrṇam = it was strewn over with various gems; kubja-kairātaka-āvṛtam = and filled with hunchbacks and dwarfs 7.
[He also saw that Rāma’s residence] was filled with people who had arrived there and who had joined their palms in supplication. It was adorned by eager people from the countryside who had brought gifts [for Rāmacandra], their faces expressing their happiness about Rāma’s coronation and who had crowded the place [even more]. It was like a great cloud, tall and very well decorated. It was strewn over with various gems and filled with hunchbacks and dwarfs.
