Chapter 15: Daśaratha Personally Instructs Sumantra to Bring Rāma
Text 2.15.43

ततः समासाद्य महाधनं महत्प्रहृष्टरोमा स बभूव सारथिः।
मृगैर्मयूरैश्च समाकुलोल्बणं गृहं वरार्हस्य शचीपतेरिव॥

tataḥ samāsādya mahā-dhanaṁ mahat
prahṛṣṭa-romā sa babhūva sārathiḥ
mṛgair mayūraiś ca samākulolbaṇaṁ
gṛhaṁ varārhasya śacī-pater iva

tataḥ samāsādya = upon reaching [the home]; mahā-dhanam = filled with great wealth; mahat = it was great; prahṛṣṭa-romā = ecstatic with his hairs standing on end; saḥ = the; babhūva = became; sārathiḥ = charioteer; mṛgaiḥ = deer; mayūraiḥ = peacocks; ca = and; samākula-ulbaṇam = and extraordinarily filled with people moving about here and there; gṛham = the house; vara-arhasya = of Rāma who deserved excellent items [of comfort]; śacī-pateḥ = of Indra, the husband of Śacī; iva = [that home] was like.

Upon reaching [the home] of Rāma who deserved excellent items [of comfort], the charioteer became ecstatic with his hairs standing on end. [That home] was like the house of Indra, the husband of Śacī. It was great, filled with great wealth, and extraordinarily filled with deer, peacocks and people moving about here and there.
