उपस्थितैरञ्जलिकारकैश्च सोपायनैर्जानपदैश्च मर्त्यैः।
कोट्या परार्धेश्च विमुक्तयानैः समाकुलं द्वारपथं ददर्श॥

sopāyanair jānapadaiś ca martyaiḥ
koṭyā parārdhaiś ca vimukta-yānaiḥ
samākulaṁ dvāra-pathaṁ dadarśa
upasthitaiḥ = had come; añjali-kārakaiḥ = their palms joined in supplication; ca = and; sa-upāyanaiḥ = with gifts [for Rāma]; jānapadaiḥ ca = from the countryside; martyaiḥ = with mortals; koṭyā parārdhaiḥ ca = by the millions and trillions; vimukta-yānaiḥ = they had parked their vehicles; samākulam = was crowded; dvāra-patham = that the pathway to the door; dadarśa = he saw.
He saw that the pathway to the door was crowded with mortals from the countryside by the millions and trillions. They had parked their vehicles and had come with gifts [for Rāma], their palms joined in supplication.
