Chapter 16: Rāma Passes Through the Grand Road to Meet Daśaratha

रामं सर्वानवद्याङ्ग्यो रामपिप्रीषया ततः।
वचोभिरग्र्यैर्हर्म्यस्थाः क्षितिस्थाश्च ववन्दिरे॥
rāmaṁ sarvānavadyāṅgyo rāma-piprīṣayā tataḥ
vacobhir agryair harmyasthāḥ kṣitisthāś ca vavandire
rāmam = Rāma; sarva-anavadya-aṅgyaḥ = women of spotless bodily beauty; rāma-piprīṣayā = desiring to please Rāma; tataḥ = then; vacobhiḥ = words; agryaiḥ = with excellent; harmyasthāḥ = in the mansions; kṣitisthāḥ = on the ground; ca = and; vavandire = glorified.
Then, desiring to please Rāma, women of spotless bodily beauty in the mansions and on the ground glorified Rāma with excellent words.
