Text 2.18.25

यदि तद्वक्ष्यते राजा शुभं वा यदि वाशुभम्।
करिष्यसि ततः सर्वमाख्यास्यामि पुनस्त्वहम्॥

yadi tad vakṣyate rājā śubhaṁ vā yadi vāśubham
kariṣyasi tataḥ sarvam ākhyāsyāmi punas tv aham

yadi = if; tat = that which; vakṣyate = wishes to tell You; rājā = the king; śubham = it is good; yadi = whether; = or; aśubham = bad; kariṣyasi = You will do; tataḥ sarvam = everything [that he wishes to tell You]; ākhyāsyāmi = will disclose; punaḥ tu = myself; aham = I.

If You will do that which the king wishes to tell You whether it is good or bad, I myself will disclose everything [that he wishes to tell You].

Kaikeyī wanted to disclose the matter concerning the king’s promise to her provided Rāma agreed to fulfill that promise whether it was good or bad [for Him].

Considering that Rāma might have thought, “But why doesn’t the king himself not disclose it?” Kaikeyī speaks this.
