एतद्वचस्तस्य निशम्य माता सुधर्म्यमव्यग्रमविक्लवं च।
मृतेव संज्ञां प्रतिलभ्य देवी समीक्ष्य रामं पुनरित्युवाच॥
etad vacas tasya niśamya mātā
sudharmyam avyagram aviklavaṁ ca
mṛteva saṁjñāṁ pratilabhya devī
samīkṣya rāmaṁ punar ity uvāca
etat = that; vacaḥ = words; tasya = His; niśamya = upon hearing; mātā = mother; sudharmyam = were very consonant with dharma; avyagram = calm 1; aviklavam = undisturbed; ca = and; mṛtā = a fainted lady; iva = like; saṁjñām = her consciousness; pratilabhya = who had regained; devī = the queen; samīkṣya = then looked at; rāmam = Rāma; punaḥ = again; iti = the following words; uvāca = and spoke.
Upon hearing His words that were very consonant with dharma, calm and undisturbed, like a fainted lady who had regained her consciousness, the queen mother then looked at Rāma again and spoke the following words.
Rāma’s words were undisturbed, that is, full of confidence.
