Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 22: Rāma Instructs Lakṣmaṇa
Text 2.22.28

अथवा किं ममैतेन राजद्रव्यमतेन तु।
उद्धृतं मे स्वयं तोयं व्रतादेशं करिष्यति॥

atha vā kiṁ mamaitena rāja-dravya-matena tu
uddhṛtaṁ me svayaṁ toyaṁ vratādeśaṁ kariṣyati

atha = or else; kim = why; mama = do I; etena = need these pots; rāja-dravya-matena tu = meant to be used for royal purposes; uddhṛtam me svayam = when I personally draw; toyam = water [for Me to bathe]; vrata-ādeśaṁ = the regulations of the vow [to prepare to go to the forest]; kariṣyati = will be fulfilled.

Or else, why do I need these pots meant to be used for royal purposes? The regulations of the vow [to prepare to go to the forest] will be fulfilled when I personally draw water [for Me to bathe].

In some manuscripts, rāja-dravyamayena appears instead of rājya-dravya-matena. This indicates that those pots were abundantly filled with auspicious items meant for the coronation.
