Chapter 23: Lakṣmaṇa’s Arguments
Text 2.23.29

मङ्गलैरभिषिञ्चस्व तत्र त्वं व्यापृतो भव।
अहमेको महीपालानलं वारयितुं बलात्॥

maṅgalair abhiṣiñcasva tatra tvaṁ vyāpṛto bhava
aham eko mahī-pālān alaṁ vārayituṁ balāt

maṅgalaiḥ = with waters filled with auspicious items; abhiṣiñcasva = have Yourself coronated by Vasiṣṭha and others; tatra = on having this coronation ceremony conducted; tvam vyāpṛtaḥ = fixed in mind; bhava = become; aham = I; ekaḥ = alone; mahī-pālān = the kings [who oppose Your coronation]; alam = am sufficient; vārayitum = to restrain; balāt = forcibly.

Have Yourself coronated by Vasiṣṭha and others with waters filled with auspicious items. Become fixed in mind on having this  coronation ceremony conducted. I alone am sufficient to forcibly restrain the kings [who oppose Your coronation].
