Chapter 25: Kausalyā Invokes Auspiciousness for Rāma
Text 2.25.33
यन्मङ्गलं सुपर्णस्य विनताकल्पयत्पुरा।
अमृतं प्रार्थयानस्य तत्ते भवतु मङ्गलम्॥
yan maṅgalaṁ suparṇasya vinatākalpayat purā
amṛtaṁ prārthayānasya tat te bhavatu maṅgalam
yat maṅgalam = that; suparṇasya = upon Garuḍa; vinatā = Vinatā; akalpayat = had bestowed; purā = in the past; amṛtam = nectar; prārthayānasya = when he sought; tat = the; te = You; bhavatu maṅgalam = may attain auspiciousness.
May You attain the auspiciousness that Vinatā had bestowed upon Garuḍa when he sought nectar in the past!
