Chapter 27: Sītā Requests Rāma to Take Her to the Forest
Text 2.27.18
हंसकारण्डवाकीर्णाः पद्मिनीः साधुपुष्पिताः।
इच्छेयं सुखिनी द्रष्टुं त्वया वीरेण सङ्गता॥
haṁsa-kāraṇḍavākīrṇāḥ padminīḥ sādhu-puṣpitāḥ
iccheyaṁ sukhinī draṣṭuṁ tvayā vīreṇa saṅgatā
haṁsa-kāraṇḍava-ākīrṇāḥ = and filled with swans and water-fowls 4; padminīḥ = lotus ponds; sādhu-puṣpitāḥ = with nice flowers; iccheyam = I will want; sukhinī = happily; draṣṭum = to see; tvayā = Your; vīreṇa = You are a hero; saṅgatā = and in association.
You are a hero and in Your association, I will happily want to see lotus ponds with nice flowers and filled with swans and water-fowls.
