Chapter 29: Sītā Persists in Requesting Him to Take Her to the Forest
Text 2.29.15
कृतक्षणाहं भद्रं ते गमनं प्रति राघव।
वनवासस्य शूरस्य चर्या हि मम रोचते॥
kṛta-kṣaṇāhaṁ bhadraṁ te gamanaṁ prati rāghava
vana-vāsasya śūrasya caryā hi mama rocate
kṛta-kṣaṇā aham = I am joyful 1; bhadram = auspiciousness; te = unto You; gamanam = departing [for the forest]; prati = about; rāghava = Rāghava; vana-vāsasya = when You reside in the forest; śūrasya = to You, a hero; caryā = service; hi = because; mama rocate = appeals to me.
Rāghava, auspiciousness unto You! I am joyful about departing [for the forest] because service to You, a hero, when You reside in the forest appeals to me.
