Chapter 30: Rāma Allows Sītā to Follow Him to the Forest
Text 2.30.12
कुशकाशशरेषीका ये च कण्टकिनो द्रुमाः।
तूलाजिनसमस्पर्शा मार्गे मम सह त्वया॥
kuśa-kāśa-śareṣīkā ye ca kaṇṭakino drumāḥ
tūlājina-sama-sparśā mārge mama saha tvayā
kuśa-kāśa-śara-īṣīkā = the kuśa and kāśa stalks of reed; ye ca = and the; kaṇṭakinaḥ = thorny; drumāḥ = trees; tūla-ajina-sama-sparśāḥ = will be as soft as cotton and deer skin 3; mārge = on the path; mama = for me; saha = with; tvayā = You.
With You, the kuśa and kāśa stalks of reed and the thorny trees on the path will be as soft as cotton and deer skin for me.
