Chapter 30: Rāma Allows Sītā to Follow Him to the Forest
Text 2.30.14
शाद्वलेषु यथा शिश्ये वनान्ते वनगोचरा।
कुथास्तरणतल्पेषु किं स्यात्सुखतरं ततः॥
śādvaleṣu yathā śiśye vanānte vana-gocarā
kuthāstaraṇa-talpeṣu kiṁ syāt sukhataraṁ tataḥ
śādvaleṣu = on areas with fresh grass; yathā = when; śiśye = and lie down with You; vana-ante = in the woods; vana-gocarā = I roam about the forest; kutha-āstaraṇa-talpeṣu = that resemble beds with cushions and colored blankets; kim = what; syāt = can be; sukhataram = more pleasing; tataḥ = than.
What can be more pleasing than when I roam about the forest and lie down in the woods with You on areas with fresh grass that resemble beds with cushions and colored blankets?
