Chapter 30: Rāma Allows Sītā to Follow Him to the Forest
Text 2.30.15

पत्रं मूलं फलं यत्त्वमल्पं वा यदि वा बहु।
दास्यसि स्वयमाहृत्य तन्मेऽमृतरसोपमम्॥

patraṁ mūlaṁ phalaṁ yat tvam alpaṁ vā yadi vā bahu
dāsyasi svayam āhṛtya tan me ’mṛta-rasopamam

patram = leaves; mūlam = roots; phalam = and fruits; yat = which; tvam = You; alpam = in small; yadi = or; bahu = large quantity; dāsyasi = give; svayam = personally; āhṛtya = collect and; tat = the; me = me; amṛta-rasa-upamam = [will be] equal to the juice of nectar.

The leaves, roots and fruits which You personally collect, in small or a large quantity, and give me [will be] equal to the juice of nectar.

GLOSS. Sītā intends to tell Rāma, “If You fetch leaves and so on and give it to me while considering me to be Your maidservant, it will be equal to nectar.”
