यदि दुष्टो न रक्षेत भरतो राज्यमुत्तमम्।
प्राप्य दुर्मनसा वीर गर्वेण च विशेषतः॥
तमहं दुर्मतिं क्रूरं वधिष्यामि न संशयः।
तत्पक्ष्यानपि तान्सर्वांस्त्रैलोक्यमपि किं नु सा॥
yadi duṣṭo na rakṣeta bharato rājyam uttamam
prāpya durmanasā vīra garveṇa ca viśeṣataḥ
tam ahaṁ durmatiṁ krūraṁ vadhiṣyāmi na saṁśayaḥ
tat-pakṣyān api tān sarvāṁs trailokyam api kiṁ nu sā
yadi = if; duṣṭaḥ = the wicked; na = not; rakṣeta = does protect [her]; bharataḥ = Bharata; rājyam = kingdom; uttamam = the excellent; prāpya = after attaining; durmanasā = due to a perversity of mind; vīra = O hero; garveṇa = due to pride; ca = and; viśeṣataḥ = especially; tam = that; aham = I; durmatim = evil-minded; krūram = cruel one; vadhiṣyāmi = will kill; na saṁśayaḥ = there is no doubt that; tat-pakṣyān api tān sarvān = all of His supporters; trailokyam = the three worlds; api = and even; kim nu = so what to speak of; sā = her.
O hero, if the wicked Bharata does not protect [her] after attaining the excellent kingdom due to a perversity of mind and especially due to pride, there is no doubt that I will kill that evil-minded cruel one, all of His supporters and even the three worlds! So what to speak of her?
