Chapter 37: Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa and Sītā Wear Clothes of Bark
Text 2.37.12

कथं नु चीरं बध्नन्ति मुनयो वनवासिनः।
इति ह्यकुशला सीता सा मुमोह मुहुर्मुहुः॥

kathaṁ nu cīraṁ badhnanti munayo vanavāsinaḥ
iti hy akuśalā sītā sā mumoha muhur muhuḥ

katham nu = how; cīram = this cloth; badhnanti = do wear; munayaḥ = the sages; vanavāsinaḥ = residing in the forest; iti hi = saying this; akuśalā = not knowing [how to wear such a dress]; sītā = Sītā-devī; mumoha = became perplexed; muhuḥ muhuḥ = repeatedly.

“How do the sages residing in the forest wear this cloth?” Saying this, Sītā-devī, not knowing [how to wear such a dress], repeatedly became perplexed.

How she became perplexed is stated in the next verse.
