Chapter 37: Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa and Sītā Wear Clothes of Bark
Text 2.37.13

कृत्वा कण्ठे च सा चीरमेकमादाय पाणिना।
तस्थौ ह्यकुशला तत्र ब्रीडिता जनकात्मजा॥

kṛtvā kaṇṭhe ca sā cīram ekam ādāya pāṇinā
tasthau hy akuśalā tatra vrīḍitā janakātmajā

kṛtvā = placing; kaṇṭhe ca = around her neck; 1 cīram = piece of cloth; ekam = one; ādāya = and taking another piece; pāṇinā = in her hand; tasthau hi = stood; akuśalā = not knowing how to dress herself with them; tatra = there; vrīḍitā = in embarrassment; janaka-ātmajā = Janaka’s daughter.

Placing one piece of the cloth around her neck and taking another piece in her hand, Janaka’s daughter stood in embarrassment, not knowing how to dress herself with them.
