Chapter 37: Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa and Sītā Wear Clothes of Bark
Text 2.37.14

तस्यास्तत्क्षिप्रमागम्य रामो धर्मभृतां वरः।
चीरं बबन्ध सीतायाः कौशेयस्योपरि स्वयम्॥

tasyās tat kṣipram āgamya rāmo dharmabhṛtāṁ varaḥ
cīraṁ babandha sītāyāḥ kauśeyasyopari svayam

tasyāḥ1 tat = with those; kṣipram = quickly; āgamya = came and; rāmaḥ = Rāma; dharmabhṛtām = of the upholders of dharma; varaḥ = the best; cīram = ascetic garments; babandha = dressed; sītāyāḥ = Sītā-devī; kauśeyasya = her silk dress; upari = over; svayam = personally.

Rāma, the best of the upholders of dharma, quickly came and personally dressed Sītā-devī with those ascetic garments over her silk dress.
