राजा सत्वरमाहूय व्यापृतं वित्तसञ्चये।
उवाच देशकालज्ञं निश्चितं सर्वतः शुचिम्॥
rājā satvaram āhūya vyāpṛtaṁ vitta-sañcaye
uvāca deśa-kālajñaṁ niścitaṁ sarvataḥ śucim
rājā = the king; satvaram = quickly; āhūya = called for; vyāpṛtam vitta-sañcaye = the superintendent of his treasury; uvāca = the king then told [him as follows]; deśa-kālajñam = the treasurer was aware of [what should be distributed] where and when; niścitam = he was fully aware; sarvataḥ = of all the items [in the treasury]; śucim = and pure within and without.
The king quickly called for the superintendent of his treasury. The treasurer was aware of [what should be distributed] where and when. He was fully aware of all the items [in the treasury] and pure within and without. The king then told [him as follows].
