Chapter 39: Kausalyā Instructs Sītā
Text 2.39.13
तं रथं राजपुत्राय सूतः कनकभूषितम्।
आचचक्षेऽञ्जलिं कृत्वा युक्तं परमवाजिभिः॥
taṁ rathaṁ raja-putrāya sūtaḥ kanaka-bhūṣitam
ācacakṣe ’ñjaliṁ kṛtvā yuktaṁ parama-vājibhiḥ
tam ratham = that the chariot; raja-putrāya = the prince; sūtaḥ = the charioteer; kanaka-bhūṣitam = decorated with gold; ācacakṣe = informed; añjalim kṛtvā = joined his palms in supplication and; yuktam = was yoked; parama-vājibhiḥ = with excellent horses.
The charioteer joined his palms in supplication and informed the prince that the chariot decorated with gold was yoked with excellent horses.
