पातयित्वा तु कैकेय्या रामं स्थानाद्यथेष्टतः।
प्रदिष्टो रक्षसां भागः पर्वणीवाहिताग्निना॥
pātayitvā tu kaikeyyā rāmaṁ sthānād yatheṣṭataḥ
pradiṣṭo rakṣasāṁ bhāgaḥ parvaṇīvāhitāgninā
pātayitvā tu = having thrown off; kaikeyyāḥ = to Kaikeyī; rāmam = Rāma; sthānāt = from His position; yathā-iṣṭataḥ = intentionally and disrespectfully; pradiṣṭaḥ = you have given the kingdom; rakṣasām = to the rākṣasas; bhāgaḥ = the portion of oblation meant for the devas; parvaṇi = during a festival; iva = this is like [giving]; āhita-agninā = in the blazing sacrificial fire.
Having intentionally and disrespectfully thrown off Rāma from His position, you have given the kingdom to Kaikeyī. This is like [giving] the portion of oblation meant for the devas to the rākṣasas in the blazing sacrificial fire during a festival.
She implies that what Daśaratha has done is absolutely inappropriate.
