Chapter 43: Kausalyā Laments for Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa and Sītā

गजराजगतिर्वीरो महाबाहुर्धनुर्धरः।
वनमाविशते नूनं सभार्यः सहलक्ष्मणः॥
gaja-rāja-gatir vīro mahā-bāhur dhanurdharaḥ
vanam āviśate nūnaṁ sabhāryaḥ saha-lakṣmaṇaḥ
gaja-rāja-gatiḥ = His gait resembles that of the king of elephants; vīraḥ = Rāma is a hero; mahā-bāhuḥ = He is mighty-armed; dhanurdharaḥ = and He wields a bow; vanam = a forest; āviśate = He is entering; nūnam = now; sabhāryaḥ = with His wife; saha-lakṣmaṇaḥ = and Lakṣmaṇa.
Rāma is a hero. His gait resembles that of the king of elephants. He is mighty-armed and He wields a bow. Now He is entering a forest with His wife and Lakṣmaṇa.
