Chapter 43: Kausalyā Laments for Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa and Sītā
Text 2.43.11
कदा प्रेक्ष्य नरव्याघ्रावरण्यात्पुनरागतौ।
नन्दिष्यति पुरी हृष्टा समुद्र इव पर्वणि॥
kadā prekṣya nara-vyāghrāv araṇyāt punar āgatau
nandiṣyati purī hṛṣṭā samudra iva parvaṇi
kadā = when; prekṣya = will see and; nara-vyāghrau = the two princes; araṇyāt = from the forest; punaḥ āgatau = return; nandiṣyati = rejoice; purī = the residents of this city; hṛṣṭā = in delight; samudraḥ = the ocean; iva = like; parvaṇi = on a full moon night.
When will the residents of this city see the two princes return from the forest and rejoice in delight like the ocean on a full moon night?
