Chapter 44: Sumitrā Consoles Kausalyā
Text 2.44.21
निवृत्तवनवासं तं द्रष्टासि पुनरागतम्।
जहि शोकं च मोहं च देवि सत्यं ब्रवीमि ते॥
nivṛtta-vana-vāsaṁ taṁ draṣṭāsi punar āgatam
jahi śokaṁ ca mohaṁ ca devi satyaṁ bravīmi te
nivṛtta-vana-vāsam = stop living in the forest; tam = Him; draṣṭā asi = you will see; punaḥ āgatam = when He returns; jahi = give up; śokam ca = your lamentation; moham = delusion; ca = and; devi = O queen; satyam = the truth; bravīmi = I tell; te = you.
You will see Him stop living in the forest when He returns. O queen, give up your lamentation and delusion. I tell you the truth.
