Chapter 44: Sumitrā Consoles Kausalyā
Text 2.44.27
अभिवादयमानं तं दृष्ट्वा ससुहृदं सुतम्।
मुदाश्रु मोक्ष्यसे क्षिप्रं मेघलेखेव वार्षिकी॥
abhivādayamānaṁ taṁ dṛṣṭvā sasuhṛdaṁ sutam
mudāśru mokṣyase kṣipraṁ megha-lekheva vārṣikī
abhivādayamānam tam = offering respectful obeisances; dṛṣṭvā = seeing; sasuhṛdam = with His well-wishers; sutam = your son; mudā = of delight; aśru = tears; mokṣyase = you will shed; kṣipram = quickly; megha-lekhā = a line of clouds; iva = like; vārṣikī = monsoon.
Seeing your son offering respectful obeisances with His well-wishers, you will quickly shed tears of delight like a line of monsoon clouds.
