Chapter 44: Sumitrā Consoles Kausalyā
Text 2.44.29
अभिवाद्य नमस्यन्तं शूरं ससुहृदं सुतम्।
मुदास्त्रै प्रोक्षसि पुनर्मेघराजिरिवाचलम्॥
abhivādya namasyantaṁ śūraṁ sasuhṛdaṁ sutam
mudāsraiḥ prokṣasi punar megha-rājir ivācalam
abhivādya = having offered His respects; namasyantam = and obeisances; śūram = heroic; sasuhṛdam = and His well-wishers; sutam = your son; mudā-āsraiḥ = with tears of delight; prokṣasi = you will sprinkle; punaḥ = certainly; megha-rājiḥ = clouds; iva = like; acalam = [that sprinkle raindrops] on a mountain.
Having offered His respects and obeisances, you will certainly sprinkle your heroic son and His well-wishers with tears of delight like clouds [that sprinkle raindrops] on a mountain.
