न पुनर्निश्चयः कार्यस्त्वद्गतौ सुकृता मतिः।
त्वयि धर्मव्यपेक्षे तु किं स्याद्धर्ममपेक्षितुम्॥
na punar niścayaḥ kāryas tvad-gatau sukṛtā matiḥ
tvayi dharma-vyapekṣe tu kiṁ syād dharmam apekṣitum
na punaḥ niścayaḥ = not be bent on going to the forest; kāryaḥ = You should; tvat-gatau = to stop You from going [to the forest]; sukṛtā matiḥ = we have firmly made up our minds; tvayi = if you; dharma-vyapekṣe tu = become indifferent to the dharma of obeying us; kim = what kind; syāt = would; dharmam = of dharma; apekṣitum = we need to follow.
We have firmly made up our minds to stop You from going [to the forest]. You should not be bent on going to the forest. If You become indifferent to the dharma of obeying us, what kind of dharma would we need to follow?
