Chapter 48: The Ladies in Ayodhyā Lament
Text 2.48.13
अकाले चापि मुख्यानि पुष्पाणि च फलानि च।
दर्शयिष्यन्त्यनुक्रोशाद्गिरयो राममागतम्॥
akāle cāpi mukhyāni puṣpāṇi ca phalāni ca
darśayiṣyanty anukrośād girayo rāmam āgatam
akāle ca = out of season; api = even; mukhyāni = excellent; puṣpāṇi = fruits; ca = and; phalāni ca = flowers; darśayiṣyanti = will reveal through their trees, creepers and so on; anukrośāt = out of respect; girayaḥ = the mountains; rāmam = to Rāma; āgatam = when He arrives there.
“Out of respect, the mountains will reveal excellent flowers and fruits, even out of season, through their trees, creepers and so on to Rāma when He arrives there.
