Chapter 49: Rāma Continues on Towards the Forest
Text 2.49.15
कदाहं पुनरागम्य सरय्वाः पुष्पिते वने।
मृगयां पर्यटिष्यामि मात्रा पित्रा च सङ्गतः॥
kadāhaṁ punar āgamya sarayvāḥ puṣpite vane
mṛgayāṁ paryaṭiṣyāmi mātrā pitrā ca saṅgataḥ
kadā = when; aham = I; punaḥ āgamya = will return; sarayvāḥ = by the Sarayū; puṣpite = to the flowery; vane = forest; mṛgayām = hunting; paryaṭiṣyāmi = wander about; mātrā = of My mother; pitrā = father; ca = and; saṅgataḥ = and in the company.
When will I return to the flowery forest by the Sarayū and, in the company of My mother and father, wander about hunting?
