Chapter 50: The Meeting of Rāma and Guha
Text 2.50.4
ततो रुधिरताम्राक्षो भुजमुद्यम्य दक्षिणम्।
अश्रुपूर्णमुखो दीनोऽब्रवीज्जानपदं जनम्॥
tato rudhira-tāmrākṣo bhujam udyamya dakṣiṇam
aśru-pūrṇa-mukho dīno ’bravīj jānapadaṁ janam
tataḥ = then; rudhira-tāmra-akṣaḥ = His eyes were red like copper; bhujam = arm; udyamya = He lifted and; dakṣiṇam = His right; aśru-pūrṇa-mukhaḥ = His face was filled with His tears; dīnaḥ = out of distress; abravīt = spoke [as follows]; jānapadam = of the country; janam = to the people who had come to see Him.
His eyes were red like copper. Out of distress, His face was filled with His tears. He then lifted His right arm and spoke [as follows] to the people of the country who had come to see Him.
His face was filled with His tears by seeing the tears of those who had come to see Him.
