Chapter 50: The Meeting of Rāma and Guha
Text 2.50.17
क्वचित्स्तिमितगम्भीरां क्वचिद्वेगजलाकुलाम्।
क्वचिद्गम्भीरनिर्घोषां क्वचिद्भैरवनिस्वनाम्॥
kvacit stimita-gambhīrāṁ kvacid vega-jalākulām
kvacid gambhīra-nirghoṣāṁ kvacid bhairava-nisvanām
kvacit = in some places; stimita-gambhīrām = she was motionless and grave; kvacit = in some places; vega-jala-ākulām = she was filled with forceful water; kvacit = in some places; gambhīra-nirghoṣām = her sound was grave like that of a mṛdaṅga; kvacit = in some places; bhairava-nisvanām = her sound was terrible like that of a lightning.
In some places, she was motionless and grave. In some places, she was filled with forceful water. In some places, her sound was grave like that of a mṛdaṅga. In some places, her sound was terrible like that of the lightning.
She was motionless in places where the water was deep.
