kvacit phullotpala-cchannāṁ kvacit padma-vanākulām
kvacit kumuda-ṣaṇḍaiś ca kuḍmalair upaśobhitām
kvacit = in some places; phulla-utpala-channām = she was covered over with blossoming lotuses; kvacit = in some places; padma-vana-ākulām = she was crowded with forests of padma lotuses; kvacit = in some places; kumuda-ṣaṇḍaiḥ = by groups of kumuda lotuses; ca = and; kuḍmalaiḥ = buds of kahlāra and other water flowers; upaśobhitām = she was beautified.
In some places she was covered over with blossoming lotuses. In some places she was crowded with forests of padma lotuses. In some places she was beautified by groups of kumuda lotuses and buds of kahlāra and other water flowers.
Previously the beauty of the utpala lotuses were stated. Here it is stated that she was covered over by such lotuses. These are distinct statements [and so there is no redundancy here].
