Chapter 50: The Meeting of Rāma and Guha
Text 2.50.34
ततो निषादाधिपतिं दृष्ट्वा दूरादुपस्थितम्।
सह सौमित्रिणा रामः समागच्छद्गुहेन सः॥
tato niṣādādhipatiṁ dṛṣṭvā dūrād upasthitam
saha saumitriṇā rāmaḥ samāgacchad guhena saḥ
tataḥ1 niṣāda-adhipatim = the king of the niṣādas; dṛṣṭvā = having noticed that; dūrāt = from a distance; upasthitam = had arrived; saha = with; saumitriṇā = the son of Sumitrā; rāmaḥ = Rāma; samāgacchat = got up and met; guhena saḥ2 = Guha.
Having noticed from a distance that the king of the niṣādas had arrived, Rāma got up and met Guha with the son of Sumitrā.
Rāma considered Guha to be His brother like Lakṣmaṇa.
