Chapter 52: Rāma Crosses the Gaṅgā on Guha’s Boat
Text 2.52.32
ब्रुयाश्च हि महाराजं भरतं क्षिप्रमानय।
आगतश्चापि भरतः स्थाप्यो नृपमते पदे॥
brūyāś ca hi mahā-rājaṁ bharataṁ kṣipram ānaya
āgataś cāpi bharataḥ sthāpyo nṛpa-mate pade
brūyāḥ = tell; ca hi = also; mahā-rājam = the Mahārāja; bharatam = Bharata; kṣipram = quickly; ānaya = bring; āgataḥ = when arrives; ca api = and; bharataḥ = Bharata; sthāpyaḥ = He should be appointed; nṛpa-mate = in accordance with the king’s desire; pade = in the post of a crown prince after coronation.
Also tell the Mahārāja: Quickly bring Bharata and when Bharata arrives, He should be appointed in the post of a crown prince after coronation in accordance with the king’s desire.
