पुत्रो दशरथस्यायं महाराजस्य धीमतः।
निदेशं पारयित्वेमं गङ्गे त्वदभिरक्षितः॥
चतुर्दश हि वर्षाणि समग्राण्युष्य कानने।
भ्रात्रा सह मया चैव पुनः प्रत्यागमिष्यति॥
putro daśarathasyāyaṁ mahā-rājasya dhīmataḥ
nideśaṁ pārayitvemaṁ gaṅge tvad-abhirakṣitaḥ
caturdaśa hi varṣāṇi samagrāṇy uṣya kānane
bhrātrā saha mayā caiva punaḥ pratyāgamiṣyati
putraḥ = son; daśarathasya = Daśaratha; ayam = this; mahā-rājasya = Mahārāja; dhīmataḥ = of the intelligent; nideśam pārayitvā imam = will fulfill his order; gaṅge = Gaṅgā; tvat-abhirakṣitaḥ = being well-protected by you; caturdaśa hi = fourteen; varṣāṇi = years; samagrāṇi = full; uṣya = after spending; kānane = in the forest; bhrātrā = His brother; saha = with; mayā = me; ca eva = and; punaḥ pratyāgamiṣyati = He will return [to His kingdom].
