Chapter 54: Rāmacandra Meets Bharadvāja Ṛṣi
Text 2.54.35
सीतातृतीयः काकुत्स्थः परिश्रान्तः सुखोचितः।
भरद्वाजाश्रमे रम्ये तां रात्रिमवसत्सुखम्॥
sītā-tṛtīyaḥ kākutsthaḥ pariśrāntaḥ sukhocitaḥ
bharadvājāśrame ramye tāṁ rātrim avasat sukham
sītā-tṛtīyaḥ = was with Lakṣmaṇa and Sītā; kākutsthaḥ = the descendant of Kakutstha; pariśrāntaḥ = He was exhausted; sukha-ucitaḥ = and accustomed to comfort; bharadvāja-āśrame = āśrama of Bharadvāja; ramye = in the pleasant; tām = that; rātrim = night; avasat = He passed; sukham = happily.
The descendant of Kakutstha was with Lakṣmaṇa and Sītā.1 He was exhausted and accustomed to comfort. He passed that night happily in the pleasant āśrama of Bharadvāja.
