Chapter 55: Rāma Leaves Bharadvāja’s Āśrama and Crosses the Yamunā
Text 2.55.1

उषित्वा रजनीं तत्र राजपुत्रावरिंदमौ।
महर्षिमभिवाद्याथ जग्मतुस्तं गिरिं प्रति॥

uṣitvā rajanīṁ tatra rāja-putrāv arindamau
maha-rṣim abhivādyātha jagmatus taṁ giriṁ prati

uṣitvā = having spent; rajanīm = that night; tatra = there; rāja-putrau = the two princes; arindamau = who subdued Their enemies; mahā-ṛṣim = unto the great sage; abhivādya = offered Their respectful obeisances; atha = and then; jagmatuḥ = departed; tam girim prati = to the mountain.

Having spent that night there, the two princes who subdued Their enemies offered Their respectful obeisances unto the great sage and then departed to the mountain.
