Chapter 55: Rāma Leaves Bharadvāja’s Āśrama and Crosses the Yamunā
Text 2.55.30

एकैकं पादपं गुल्मं लतां वा पुष्पशालिनीम्।
अदृष्टपूर्वां पश्यन्ती रामं पप्रच्छ साबला॥

ekaikaṁ pādapaṁ gulmaṁ latāṁ vā puṣpa-śālinīm
adṛṣṭa-pūrvāṁ paśyantī rāmaṁ papraccha sābalā

eka-ekam = about each; pādapam = tree; gulmam = shrub; latām = creeper; = or; puṣpa-śālinīm = with flowers; adṛṣṭa-pūrvām = for she had never seen them before; paśyantī = that she saw; rāmam = Rāma; papraccha = asked; = that; abalā = girl.

That girl asked Rāma about each tree, shrub or creeper with flowers that she saw for she had never seen them before.
