Chapter 56: Rāma Reaches Citrakūṭa
Text 2.56.21

लक्ष्मणानय दारूणि दृढानि च वराणि च।
कुरुष्वावसथं सौम्य वासे मेऽभिरतं मनः॥

lakṣmaṇānaya dārūṇi dṛḍhāni ca varāṇi ca
kuruṣvāvasathaṁ saumya vāse me ’bhirataṁ manaḥ

lakṣmaṇa = Lakṣmaṇa; ānaya = bring; dārūṇi = wood; dṛḍhāni ca = hard; varāṇi = excellent; ca = and; kuruṣva = make; āvasatham = a house; saumya = gentle; vāse = residing here; me = My; abhiratam = desirous of; manaḥ = mind is.

Gentle Lakṣmaṇa, bring excellent, hard wood and make a house. My mind is desirous of residing here.

Excellent wood here refers to the rose-apple wood and so on that are fit to be used for constructing houses, not the wood of the tamarind, mahua or similar trees [that are unfit for constructing houses].
