Chapter 57: Sumantra Returns to Ayodhyā
Text 2.57.25
अभिगम्य तमासीनं नरेन्द्रमभिवाद्य च।
सुमन्त्रो रामवचनं यथोक्तं प्रत्यवेदयत्॥
abhigamya tam āsīnaṁ narendram abhivādya ca
sumantro rāma-vacanaṁ yathoktaṁ pratyavedayat
abhigamya = approached; tam āsīnam = the seated; nara-indram = king; abhivādya = offered his respectful obeisances; ca = and; sumantraḥ = Sumantra; rāma-vacanam = Rāma’s words; yathā-uktam = exactly as He had spoken; pratyavedayat = he then conveyed.
Sumantra approached the seated king and offered his respectful obeisances. He then conveyed Rāma’s words exactly as He had spoken.
