Chapter 57: Sumantra Returns to Ayodhyā
Text 2.57.28
सुमित्रया तु सहिता कौसल्या पतितं पतिम्।
उत्थापयामास तदा वचनं चेदमब्रवीत्॥
sumitrayā tu sahitā kausalyā patitaṁ patim
utthāpayām āsa tadā vacanaṁ cedam abravīt
sumitrayā tu = of Sumitrā; sahitā = with the help; kausalyā = Kausalyā; patitam = who had fallen [off his seat]; patim = their husband; utthāpayām āsa = raised; tadā = then; vacanam = words; ca = and; idam = the following; abravīt = spoke.
With the help of Sumitrā, Kausalyā raised their husband who had fallen [off his seat] and then spoke the following words.
